So a lot of people are making a big fuss about the new April Fools Day worm set to go off tomorrow. Two things, first off this really isn't something new. Setting viruses to activate on April Fools Day is a long hacker tradition. Also while this virus may be damaging it will probably not be as damaging as the media is making it out to be. A lot of this story is pure hype. A couple people's computers will go down and the world will move on. This stuff happens every day not just April Fools.

Computer Virus Aboard the ISS

Usability FAIL!

So I had to reset my AIM password, and for some reason whenever I set the new password it wouldn't work when it was time to log in. I kept trying for two days until when I was registering a new account I figured something out. AIM has a maximum password length but it doesn't tell you. The system allowed me to set a password longer than the maximum. When I figured this out everything worked.

...

so my computer is fixed. it's pretty much been fixed for a couple of days but my mother was not planning on telling me because she's not sure she wants me using it and even though she talked before about giving it to me or letting me buy it when i moved out now she's upset with me it's her computer.

le sigh. i am so sick of all of this. i'll never think at the god of chaos, "bring it" at randomly again, even if i don't know why i thought it when i don't think at it usually.

Eva's gone for a bit
