I am not sure if I want to continue DMing. It's just becoming a lot to deal with and I can never get the party to focas on the game, and I am not sure where to take the campaign. I will try to run a couple more sessions and maybe I will feel better.

Jonesing for Some Gaming

Max's Philosophical Rants

So yeah because of a mix of circumstances like tomorrow being father's day I wasn't able to play D&D this weekend. Max and I have the sinking suspicion that with having about ten people in this campaign that the scheduling is going to be shit. I may split the campaign into two groups in the same world. They wouldn't ever directly interact but their actions would effect each other. If someone wanted to play in each group they would have to make a second character. I have to talk to my players first.

So.... Why do I even bother?

It never fails. Never.

Every.
Single.
Time.

Seriously - always! He is always starting crap with everyone. He complains that he has few friends and then he sabotages any luck that he has for keeping them by being a total ass! He says that gaming is his life and then he deliberately does crap to fuck up both the campaign(s) AND the people he games with.

You may be able to guess by this post and the last post that I am currently playing a blind character. I am using the Blinded From Birth homebrew flaw. She is a drow ninja with a psuedodragon cohort. Since I made her before I wrote the Blindsight flaw, she won't be able to use Blindfight until level nine when she acquires a new feat. Either way I was thinking I would post what my DM and I worked out for Blind movement.

Blindsight is a creature ablity described in the Dungeon Master's Guide and the Monster Manual. Here's what it says: "Some creatures have blindsight, the extraordinary ability to use a nonvisual sense (or a combination of such senses) to operate effectively without vision. Such sense may include sensitivity to vibrations, acute scent, keen hearing, or echolocation.

DMing my First D&D Campaign

"Coma White" by Marilyn Manson

So yeah for the first time in my life I am being the Dungeon Master in a campaign. It's Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 and I have been having a lot of fun. It's been a real challange as well but I think I am starting to get the hang of it. I wrote about two pages worth of back story which I will post here later. I have a party of seven people and it's been a nice mix of roleplaying, combat, and silliness. I think I might start writing campaign recaps here, just short bits about the story and such. Well I have to go, will post again soon.
