New shades and new perspectives

Shut me up, MSI

Just got a new pair of shades, because the price was right (can't beat free!) and I am enjoying the purplish tint everything has now. besides, I'm horribly nearsighted anyway, so they don't affect my vision much. Also just got done reading a fair bit of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, and the copernican revolution blew my fucking mind.

For those without the philosophical know how, I'll offer a bit of what the copernican revolution means, and also the implications for a long philosophical debate I've been pondering for some time now.

Chapter 3: metaphysics for stoners

So, do you exist?

This is a classic example of a malformed question, a tautology to boot. and yet it is the justification for an entire field of philosophy, the great and terrible Metaphysics.

It also happens to be the exact sort of question one comes across when stoned. another such question: what if we're all just brains in a jar? again, an unproveable hypothesis, yet one of the major questions one comes across in the search for the meaning of the stuff we seem surrounded on all sides by.

I'm not gonna be there when you're gone.

My Iron Lung (the song, not the device.)

this is a rough draft of a book I have been working on for some time now. comments, criticisms, and suggestions would be welcome. or just enjoy! your choice.

Chapter 1: general remarks

this is a work of leaving a certain principality of thought and entering a new one. it is as revolutionary as an old shoe. but if it was printed out, would probably have that cool new book smell, as opposed to smelling like feet.

actually, stop reading right now and give that a shot. or go smell a book. I'll be here, waiting ever faithful for your return.
