the slow cracking of my brain on caffeine and cramming

GalaDarling started a new thing with her blog, curious tuesday. i need to write to get my head out from under the textbooks it's currently squished under. also, she's kind of becoming one of my new heroes. she reminds me a little of weetzie bat sometimes. and anyway, she's awesome. i wish i could be... not her, but more like that sometimes. you know, with the renlentless fabulosity and bright, cheery outlook on life most of the time and the ridiculously glamorous life. mostly the first two.

anyway, since it's been Wednesday for the past hour (the day of tricky gods and black winged birds) and i missed the first one i'm gonna answer the questions from that one, two. becuase i missed it. and it's a cool idea. hope you'll bear with me!

the dead of winter, dead of night

the monthly siren that will probably cause me to one day walk outside during the apocalypse, because i can't tell time.

you're gone, right down to the smell of you, and it isn't just bereft grief i'm feeling. you have somewhere to go, and i feel like the anchor that held me close to earth is gone. like i could float away at any moment, fall out of my skin and keep falling til i hit the cave where love buried a man who was said to age backwards. and of course everything is happening at the same time as everything else. there is no twin to go to, because the twin feels betrayed or something, over something that was never his business.

a week at a new job.

i wanna be the boy to warm your mother's heart- the white stripes

the week is almost over. it's been... interesting, to say the least. it included some strangely compelling mormon girls playing like flocks of birds in hibiscus trees.

marley chi-ing her "it's morning, wake up and talk to me" song.

i dreamed my family suddenly got money and i got sent to this really good school, but the rich kids were really snotty to me and didn't like me. so i invited miwako and arashi to come with me to this historical costume party we were having at school, because miwako makes everyone feel happier and less afraid and arashi is a stand up guy who looks scary to rich, normal people. we had a lot of fun getting dressed, of course!

a killer inside- bleed the dream

okay, so alex is television person and i have a small apartment and school work. so sadly, i'm not sure if the book of the week thing is going to work, but i'm still going to review books semi-weekly, and maybe at some point i'll get it together. this is why it's called a goal, yes?

daylight savings time is fucking stupid.

so it's that time again. that time when everyone is forced to get up an hour earlier and reset their internal clocks. productivity will be lower in all industries as people adjust the time change, car wrecks will be more common, and record-keeping snafus will be common for the day in question. not to mention that everyone effected by it will be crabby for a few days.

a lot of people attribute daylight savings time to benjamin franklin. because if our founding fathers thought something was a good idea, it must be!

blessed, glorious silence.

So in my quest to blog more, and my quest to spend less time on random internet sites that are bad for me , i'm going to try something new and review a book every week. i've been able to read 2-3 books a week at my top speed, so it shouldn't be too hard. i hope you all like it out there in computer land.

This week's book is On Demand by Justine Elyot . it's an adult book, and i'll try to keep this review as pg-13 as i can, but you may not want to click read more if that's not your thing.

miwako sakurada makeup mini-tutorial.

a friend of mine on twitter asked me to teach her what i just figured out for miwako's makeup. so i'm going to try to explain it to you using some stock photos that i've gimped and some stuff like that, because i don't have a working camera right now. when i have one in the future i'll update this into a full tutorial.

trying to figure out what else i can wear this dress with.

alex bought me this dress for my last birthday. it's beautiful, (it looks a little less awesome in this picture but irl it looks similar to the baby jsk it's a replica of, and has shirring and some of those cross strap neck tie things lolita dresses sometimes have.) but it was kinda pricey so i'm trying to think of other ways i can wear it. already worn it with a white blouse, white tights, and black shoes, and with a black cardigan, and the bitching cameo my friend made me for christmas... (a black cameo on a white ribbon.)

posting this on polyvore, hoping to find some ideas.
