Thanksgiving Bash

Currently Listening To:
A little Piece of Heaven

It's thanksgiving, everyone is over-indulging in food, having fun with their families. It's no different for me, I had a lot to eat, I'm stuffed, and am now typing to all you bloggers here. This is my first blog, so I see nothing wrong with making it about Thanksgiving.

P.S Daisho-Con was amazing! I can't wait for next year!

i really want to have a formal picnic thing soon!

since last year i've been wanting to have a really awesome picnic to celebrate spring! i've been thinking about it for a long time. i want it to be formal, but not annoyingly so... more like... everyone now has an excuse to dress up and wear their favorite, most outrageously awesome clothing! i want to go to the local thrift shop and get cheap champagne flutes or something... come up with some kind of alcoholic recipe for ice cream floats. don't know why i'm so obsessed with that... i'd like to have that and a couple drinks like mike's hard or cute punchy drinks. prince says wine. i rarely like wine, but it could be arranged because it would satisfy my twin's concept of elegance. i want to cook some things for people, but also to have everyone bring a little something so there's lots of variety... i'd prefer homemade stuff though, to be honest.

anyway, it's still in the planning stages, and here are some neat recipes i'd like to try that might be good for a picnic. i used to make these cream cheese and veggie wraps on tortillas with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, chopped green onions, mozarella cheese, and veggie cream cheese that were really good... maybe i could do a springier version of meatpies, too? i miss cooking tons of food for lots of people.

i love summer sausage

So yeah I have a big stick of summer sausage, and it tastes good. No matter what this is one thing I can point to in favor of Wisconsin.

a really easy recipe that i could make for alex instead of hotdogs and potatoes

i love to cook. i love it i love it i love it!
i am considering going to cooking school, actually.

pie

some things i've discovered today...moving is really hard, especially when they shut the power off early (sometime tomorrow my power will be shut off.)but pie is easy!i started making pasties this morning because they keep well and are filling but i made too much meat filling so i made 4 batches of pie crust... and i never realized how easy it was!
