Ah, me and my stupid obsessions

Currently Listening To:
She Wolf by Shakira

Quite obviously, I have had an obsession with avatar sites ever since I first found Gaia when I was pregnant with Sakura.

I found a page somewhere with virtually every avatar site in existence listed. .... I joined them all.... well, at least all the English-speaking ones.

Yes, it all started with Gaia Online. Recently, though, I've been head-over-heels for one that's called Avariciarpg.com I liked their larger avatars to start and even though they're completely redoing the avi system there, I doubt I'll ever leave. The community is great.

As was probably inevitable, I now have plans to run my own avatar site.

Not Going To Geek.Kon

I would really like to go to Geek.Kon but I don't have the money to go this year. Maybe next year. This decision has nothing to do with my disagreement with the rules. I do still plan on going to DaishoCon by that time I will have the necessary funds.

Why I may not be going to Geek.Kon

So lets go over the rules and see what pisses me off. My comments are in Purple

  • No smoking Even outside, are you freaking kidding me? I don't smoke but I know people who do and I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be allowed to smoke outside.
  • No alcohol or other drug substances (prescriptions excluded) I guess I can understand this, but does caffeine pills count as drugs?

+2 Geek Points Acheived

So I just replaced the keyboard on my Dell E1705. I did this because they keyboard was getting a little beaten up. I think this grants me +2 to my Geekdom score. The keyboard came from Hong Kong and this may be the first time I have ever seen a customs declaration slip. By the way, a new laptop keyboard makes your laptop feel like a new machine.
