i want to blog more, but it's almost kind of weird using a site where i can't control the way it looks, other people's entries are in with mine, and people i know actually read it. i know that sounds weird, but a lot of my blogging is the kind of highly personal stuff you write that you don't mind other people who are complete strangers reading, but that might offend people i know. especially since sometimes... you know, as a girl, i need to work things out by analyzing them.

you can consider this an open letter, i guess. it's to anyone who works in the broadcast or entertainment industry, but also to anyone who has ever downloaded or been tempted to download television or movies illegally, those who work in internet broadcasting, and those who make laws about what can and can't be done over the internet. if you're one of those people, it's time that you understand a few things about where the world is going and how people make money to produce content like television shows.

Quite obviously, I have had an obsession with avatar sites ever since I first found Gaia when I was pregnant with Sakura.

I found a page somewhere with virtually every avatar site in existence listed. .... I joined them all.... well, at least all the English-speaking ones.

Yes, it all started with Gaia Online. Recently, though, I've been head-over-heels for one that's called Avariciarpg.com I liked their larger avatars to start and even though they're completely redoing the avi system there, I doubt I'll ever leave. The community is great.

As was probably inevitable, I now have plans to run my own avatar site.

just some things that i, as an etsy buyer and chronic window shopper, have noticed really turn me away from buying from an etsy shop and what you, the seller can do about them. with a few variations, this advise could also be useful for people with ebay stores or their own sales websites.
 

galadarling mentioned that searching for bathroom grafitti on flikr under "most interesting" was neat, and it's... i think my brain hurts now. some of it was funny, but some of it is just disturbing.

because i hate ashton kutcher and cnn.

/b/ is trying to beat cnn and ashton kutcher to one million twitter followers. they started with trying to hack the captcha but i guess that's not working so instead why not try following basement dad yourself?

I am totally addicted to window shopping and http://wists.com/verdancyhime this site supports that really well, without making me broke. i think it's the site i update the most, even more than my blogs, which is kinda sad. i think sometimes women have to satisfy their searching/gathering food instincts and their hunting instincts by shopping and finding good deals and exotic things no one has ever seen before. this is a good substitute for that, people steal your finds if their good enough, so you even have a status thing. plus it helps me remember what i want to buy when i DO get money.

I can now use the net and post updates to slightly unstable on my phone. it's only 15 dollars a month so i think that's a pretty good deal, especially since i don't currently have internet at home and i'm going through withdrawl. i promise not to abuse the privilage... no,wait, revision: i promise not to abuse the privilage on SU, which is good cuz alex would most likely kill me. more later, kids, i gotta get my superheavy groceries home.

so i wanted to use the art of the mix to put together the track list for the cd i'd burn to take to work if i wasn't currently sans pc (how depressing!) but the site's all messed up because someone hacked it and they're trying to fix the bugs. damn them.
