So apparently a school in Mississippi issued a memorandum stating that all couples at the prom must be of opposite gender. When a lesbian student spoke with the school's superintend to allow her to bring her girlfriend to the prom she was told she could be ejected from the prom.The ACLU and the student attempted to informally convince the school to change their stance. The school instead decided to cancel the prom.

It appears that FSF has brought Cisco to court again over their GPL violations again. This is the second time the FSF has had to do this with Cisco. I am glad to be seeing the FSF protecting the GPL. The rule is that if you use GPL software that you have to fallow the GPL, makes perfect sense to me. Read this story on slashdot

so i wanted to use the art of the mix to put together the track list for the cd i'd burn to take to work if i wasn't currently sans pc (how depressing!) but the site's all messed up because someone hacked it and they're trying to fix the bugs. damn them.

Found a article on Slashdot about the Mythbusters show getting an episode cut cause it was going to epose security flaws in the RFID chip system...
Of course they're not gonna tell us about the flaws and TRY to keep it surpressed (But i'm pretty sure it leaked on to google by now)...

So it turns out that down in Arkansas the police when responding to a 16 year old that feel off a bridge and had a broken back decided to taser him 19 times. Was he that much of a threat that you had to do that?

And people wonder why I don't trust cops...

So it appears that china is so eager to show off as a Olympic host (could that have anything to do with the atrocities they commit) that in the opening ceremony they actually faked some of the fireworks. Some of the fireworks that people saw on television were actually computer generated.
