work

i started working at this bookshop where all the furniture was made of upside-down cardboard boxes. i wasn't sure how i got hired, but i think it was because i recognized the carolina talk from the voice on the phone of my mother's psychic friend. the first week was so far beyond marvelous i caught myself squealing several times. but the manager was only there to open us up, so he needed to hire a real one. only one person applied, she was a reiki teacher that jeff said he just hadn't gotten that feeling about the way he always does about people who he hires.

yesterday i set my alarm clock for one in the afternoon and then i forgot about it so i arrived at work today an hour early. now, i did not realize this until one of the bakers came back and asked "is anyone else coming in at two?"
i just thought cathy was mercifully late.

ah well.
i got another hour of work in, anyway.
time is not on my side.

Uh, yeah, so.... I'm trying to get a job at this snowcone shack and evidently my friend who got me into all that trouble about the internet threats is working there. So... if I get hired, he'll be my coworker.

I really don't know what I should feel, probably anger? Well, whatever, I really should thank him, since I'd still be in regular high school, dealing with people I dislike, and getting bad grades. Plus I'd never have come to NoBrand and met ya'll.

Let's see, what else is new...
